Sharing experience: theme-based LifeGrid seminars

puce In order to communicate on the research work undertaken in the context of the programme, all selected projects will be presented during a series of theme-based seminars.
The half-day seminars are aimed at all members of the scientific community, and comprise a first half for presentation of projects, and a second half devoted to round table discussion and exchange.

The first seminar was held on 29 March, the general theme being ‘computer grid contribution to life sciences’. Three oral presentations were given:

  • "Use of a computing grid for researching new metabolic pathways" by Cédric Boisart, METabolic EXplorer.
  • Design of an information system on the metabolome applied to nutrition, by Jean-François Martin et Marie Agier, INRA.
  • "The Auvergrid regional grid" by Pierre-Louis Reichstadt, LifeGrid/Auvergrid.

Two further seminars have already been planned for September and November 2007, based respectively on DNA biochips and annotation..

Please do not hesitate to communicate your discussion interests to us for these days of exchange. We will organise meetings in line with your wishes.
